NEW PRODUCTS

We are expecting our delivery of the limited edition Vimto Cordial in a stone crock this week. There are approx 6000 of these crocks being made and with such a local product we just couldn't resist getting our hands on some. This crock is also available in Mawsons Sasparilla both would make great presents.
In our cookshop we have a great new range of silicone tools including pan scrapers and trivets in a great choice of colours. These products are brilliant for non stick and enamelled pans. A silicone spatula makes it easy to get every last bit of cake mix or chocolate out of your bowl, i have several in my kitchen. Why not treat yourself and brighten up your kitchen as the days start to shorten?

TREES CAN'T DANCE

British Food Fortnight starts this Saturday and we will be offering tastings on some of the wonderful British products we sell in the deli. We are also introducing a new line of chilli products from Trees Can't Dance. This small company grows their chillies on the edge of the North Pennines, they are all produced without the use of pesticides or herbicides and without chemical or artificial fertilisers. The sauces range from mild to very hot, and all taste completely different. Available from Friday 19th September

The sun shone today which made me think that maybe we will get an Indian summer? All the more reason to tell you about Tracklements cucumber & pepper relish - this delish relish transforms homemade (or even bought) burgers and everyone i have tried it out on loves it. Why not make summer last and treat yourself to a jar?

Homemade burgers are easy to make just mix together minced beef with salt & pepper then add either some finely chopped onion, and 1/2 tsp cumin and coriander or oregano, that's it. You can add an egg or breadcrumbs to bind if you wish, but i often don't bother. Then barbeque or chargrill them and preferably top with cucumber relish or Stokes mayonnaise. Enjoy.

SALE

Hello all, i have a few items currently on sale in the cookshop
- the CLASSIC range of storage jars & salt pigs (available in cream or black) are now reduced to £4.75 and £5.75 and the BOTANICAL teapots and matching mugs are now £5.50 and £1.70, whilst stocks last. I have recently changed our crisp supplier from Burts to Pipers. Sadly Burts made the decision to supply large supermarkets along with independent retailers and so I have chosen Pipers crisps which are selling really well. I would love your feedback on this new product.
