Thyme Christmas Hampers

 Hope you're enjoying the festive preparations.

We are still making up hampers filled with our lovely products and will do so whilst stocks last.

Our hampers can be made up to any budget and can be bespoke to cater for anyone.

Choose from a choice of cardboard, wicker or wooden hamper containers filled with decorative shreds, goodies and wrapped in cellophane with ribbons and bows.

The last date for Patchwork pate orders will be Monday 16th december.

I haven't finished my food shopping yet but will definitely be buying some of Tracklements cranberry sauce for Christmas day. We have sold this for over 10 years and i don't think it has ever been off the cafe menu. It is the best i have tried.

December specials

Well it's December already and that means our Christmas Club Sandwich is back on the cafe menu.
3 slices of toast layered with bacon, sausages, mayo, turkey, cranberry & stuffing. This may well be my favourite sandwich of all Thyme.

We also have a couple of other specials throughout december - a turkey, brie & cranberry hot baguette, or a roasted red onion, blue cheese and cranberry sandwich.
Along with real hot chocolates, gingerbread lattes and mince pies. We are feeling very festive here in Ho-Ho-Horwich.

Thanks to everyone who made it to our tasting evening, it was very busy but a good time was had by all.
The bacon chilli jam was a sell out but more stock is due on on Friday 6th December.

If you would like to order any Patchwork pate for Christmas or New Year our last delivery will be week beginning 16th December, so please place your orders by 10am on the 16th. There are order forms available at Thyme.

New products for October & tasting evening.

Hello,
I have been busy filling our shelves recently with lots of new lovely products.

On a Saturday morning we have a fresh delivery of artisan breads from All you Knead bakery (based in Chorley). These delicious breads have built up a popular following at local farmers markets and their new shop at Botany bay and now you can buy them from Thyme. Our shop smells amazing first thing each Saturday.

We are now stocking some excellent quality pork pies and sausage rolls from Bray's Cottage-including onion marmalade, chorizo or chilli pork pies.

These are also on our Autumn menu in the cafe.

Our Christmas puds from Cartmel Sticky Toffee Company have now started to arrive (and sell) along with a few more seasonal goodies. 

There will be plenty more stock arriving in the coming weeks all before our Tasting Evening which will be on Thursday 21 November 6.30-8pm.

This is a popular event and an opportunity to try some of our products  and enjoy a glass of mulled wine whilst you browse.

As usual for this event, tickets are free but limited and can be collected from Thyme.

The venison, squash and red onion pie from Tom's Pies has been really popular and is perfect for this time of year. Why not try one on your next visit?

Autumn update

Sadly we bid goodbye to an absolutely glorious summer and so our summer specials have finished to make way for Autumn ones. New to Thyme are Tom's Pies.

These pies are so delicious we couldn't resist stocking them. They are available from the deli counter to take home or on our menu served with mash, peas & gravy. You can also take this away.

There are many flavours but for now we have chosen Chicken, Leek & ham hock,  steak & ale, lamb, chickpea & chorizo,  butternut squash, bean & cheese, mushroom, spinach, hazlenut & truffle oil.

We've also set the date for our tasting evening -  it will be on Thursday 21st November so save the date. More details to follow

Summer Thyme

Hello,
I hope you're all enjoying this spell of great weather we are having.

As it is so lovely and warm we have added a few extra cld drinks to our menu for the summer months.
You can now buy cans of San Pelligrino lemon or blood orange, in the deli and cafe, or enjoy a refreshing glass of raspberry & lemon cordial in the cafe.

We also have a few extra summer specials on our cafe menu  -  including our summer club sandwich - a triple decker toasted sandwich layered with chicken, bacon, red peppers, goats cheese, and pesto.

We also have a few more salads to choose from which are available to take away too.

We have tables and chairs outside at the back if you want to soak up the sun whilst we serve you.

We also still have stock of local honey and more arriving this weekend.

Don't forget we sell Moo 2 You ice creams (7 flavours)  allays popular in the school holidays.

Birthday Month

June is the month we turned 10. On the 9th June to be precise.

Thank you to everyone who entered our birthday competition to win a hamper, i am currently going through the entries (almost 200) and will be drawing a winner this weekend.

As this weekend is also Horwich Carnival & races, Thyme will be open this Sunday 10-4 (cafe closes until 3.30)

You may have noticed that we have a vacancy.
One of our team will be leaving during September and we are looking for a replacement. This role will start over the summer to cover holidays.
Ideally we are not looking for someone who cannot work beyond September as this is when our vacancy comes into place.

My new favourite cordial is raspberry & lemon by Belvoir. It's like summer in a glass especial diluted with sparkling water. Watch out for this on our summer menu coming soon.

Wow can’t believe we are 10 years old in June !

As a thank you to you - our customers  - we are giving away a fantastic hamper filled with lots of the products which we have been stocking for the last 10 years (and a few of the new ones too).

Spring Thyme

Hello, I love this time of year when the weather gives hints that winter is nearly over and the Spring flowers make everything look a little more cheery.
We also have Mother's day then Easter to look forward to which can only mean one thing - chocolate.

At Thyme we have some lovely truffles from Montezumas which would make a lovely gift.
If you're feeling generous we can make you up a hamper so that you can say it with food.  Or if you can't decide choose one of our gift vouchers.

I am looking to add more salads onto our menu in the coming weeks as the weather picks up but for now it's still all about the cake.

Cartmel Sticky toffee pudding will be my dessert of choice this weekend.
Cartmel have just introduced a new sticky toffee fudge which is delicious and will be on sale in Thyme from Thursday 8th March and don't forget their sticky toffee chocolates.

We are also looking forward to the launch of new flavours from Lancashire crisps - coming soon so watch this space.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year & thank you all for your custom, friendship and support during 2012.
I look forward to seeing you during 2013.

We are currently having a little sale of some seasonal items which will end on Sat 12th Jan so grab a bargain whilst you can.

New deliveries have started to arrive this week.
We are pleased to be stocking Lancashire biscuits we currently have 4 flavours - fruit crumble, chic chip, treacle, & oat & coconut.
